Return and Refund Policy

This Return and Refund Policy applies to all orders placed at the official Topics Merch store, operated by Topics Chat Portugal Lda., in accordance with Decree-Law No. 24/2014, of February 14, which regulates distance contracts and consumer rights in Portugal.

1. Right of Withdrawal (14 days)

Customers have a period of 14 consecutive days after receiving the order to exercise the right of withdrawal, without the need to provide a reason.

To exercise this right, customers must contact us at orders@topicschat.com, providing:

  • Order number

  • Full name

  • Reason for return (optional)

Upon receipt of the request, instructions for the return will be sent.

2. Return Conditions

Returns will only be accepted if the product:

  • Is new, with no signs of use

  • Is returned in the original packaging, including labels, gifts, or accessories

  • Has not been personalized (personalized products cannot be returned, except in case of defect)

Topics Chat Portugal Lda. reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these requirements.

3. Shipping Costs (Returns and Exchanges)

Shipping costs for returns or exchanges are borne by the customer, except in cases of manufacturing defects.

When exercising the right of withdrawal, the customer may use the carrier of their choice.

Exception – Manufacturing Defect

If the product has a manufacturing defect, the return shipping costs and the shipping of the replacement product will be fully covered by Topics Chat Portugal Lda.

The customer must report the defect within 30 days of receipt, providing photographs and a description to orders@topicschat.com.

4. Refunds

After receiving and verifying the condition of the returned products, the refund will be processed within a maximum of 14 days.
Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the purchase (unless otherwise agreed).

Important Notes:

  • Initial shipping costs are non-refundable, except in cases of manufacturing defect or error attributable to Topics Chat Portugal Lda.

  • For exchanges, the new shipment will be processed only after receipt and validation of the returned item.

5. Exchanges

Customers may request an exchange for another size, color, or available product.
The same rules as returns apply, with shipping costs borne by the customer, except in cases of defect.

6. Excluded Products

Returns are not accepted for:

  • Personalized or made-to-order products

  • Products showing signs of use, damage, or alteration

  • Items without original packaging or labels
